What is Music Therapy?
Music Therapy is the clinical & evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional.
Our Services
Unlock Music Therapy has a team of therapists providing in-home care to Indianapolis and surrounding counties. Sessions are held each week and typically last between 45-60 minutes. An assessment will take place to determine appropriate goals and objectives. An individualized treatment plan will be created, weekly documentation will be completed, and quarterly reports will be discussed at case meetings.

Meet Our Team
Mason Strycker, MT-BC
I am a board certified music therapist and co-founder of Unlock Music Therapy. I graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne with my Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy in August of 2018. I then began my professional career in Fort Wayne conducting individual sessions with children/young adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. After relocating to the Indianapolis area I began the process of creating UMT and making it a Medicaid Waiver provider.
Now serving Indianapolis and surrounding counties, I look forward to expanding our business, adding therapists to our team, and working to better the lives and families of the communities we serve!

Shelby Weaver, MT-BC
Hi! My name is Shelby and I am also a board certified music therapist and co-owner of Unlock Music Therapy. I graduated from Indiana University - Purdue University of Fort Wayne, Indiana with my Bachelor of Science degree in Music Therapy. I interned in a few different settings including a children's hospital, hospice, and with individuals on the Medicaid Waiver. For the entirety of my professional career, I have worked with individuals with a wide range of ages and abilities. I am from the Central Indiana area, so I am very excited to be offering services back into the community that has always served me so well.
My biggest passions have always included music and people! When I learned about music therapy, I knew that it was the perfect job for me because it combined the two things I'm most passionate about; music and building relationships.
